Cat Coffee Shops to visit in New Jersey

Cat Coffee Shops in NJ

Who doesn’t love grabbing a cup of coffee on their way to work in the morning? Or spending time working from the coffee shop? It can be a little easier to work there than at home, because at home there are often distractions such as a sink full of dirty dishes or piles of laundry calling your name. (Be right back; I need to go put some stuff in the dryer).

As I said, it’s great to be able to work at a coffee shop, but working from home can often mean your cat can cuddle in your lap while you work, or try to grab your doritos off your desk. Cats even have been known to make Voxer calls (Voxer Walkie Talkie is a live “push-to-talk” system & a voice messaging system) to clients.

Now though, you can even cuddle with cats while you are at the coffee shop. Kitty cafes are becoming more popular throughout the country, and New Jersey is getting in on the action. There are three family/kid-friendly cafes that have opened up in the last few years, in Asbury Park, Rahway, and Palmyra.

At these cafes, cats are there to play with while you work and enjoy your coffee. There’s an admission fee that goes towards their mission of finding cats their forever homes, and there’s also cat mugs, t-shirts, and other goodies for sale.

Cat cafes are great places to visit if you are thinking of adopting a cat, or can’t have one of your own due to rental agreements or family members with allergies, or simply if you don’t currently have the time to put in to taking care of a pet. This way, you get that cat-fix any time you want (just don’t skip work).
